ISABELLE SÖDERHOLM TALKS MODELING
"Dare to take chances and do what you love"

Interviewed by Culture Coast Talks editor Daniel John. Interview transcripts might have been edited for length and clarity.
Your interest for modeling started early on?
Yes, exactly. For me, it all started when I was little. My dad has always worked as a photographer, so the interest in being both in front of and behind the camera has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. Being in front of the camera is something I’ve always enjoyed. The world of fashion and beauty really started growing on me a few years ago when I got the opportunity to work in the beauty industry, including with perfume and skincare.
You were previously signed with an agency in New Zealand, JAM Talent. How did that come about to sign with them there?
At the age of twenty, I traveled alone to New Zealand, which was meant to be an experience and a trip where the main goal was to work with horses. The plan was that I would stay for six months. But six months passed, and in the end, those short six months turned into a full five years. During my time there, I had the honor of being signed with JAM Talent. I did, among other things, a lead role in a short film and a modeling job for a hairdresser.
Are you signed with a specific agency being back in Sweden today, or is Acasting currently handling your bookings?
Unfortunately, I haven’t yet had the opportunity to be signed by an agency in Sweden. But yes, right now Acasting is what I am working with.
Having done a short film, are there other creative arenas you'd like to explore, whether in modeling, acting, or beyond?
Absolutely, there are more scenes I want to explore. Both in fashion, but also in film and music. Right now, a friend and I are working on a small music project called Izzma Creations, which we recently started. We’re creating our own music along with accompanying music-videos. The dream is to go as far as possible and hopefully be able to work with this full-time one day.
How would you describe your personal style when you’re not modeling, do you have a favorite season?
I truly love all the seasons and they each have their own charm. Right now, my style is very mixed. I love dressing up just as much as I prefer comfortable, simple clothes to relax in at home. I really enjoy having that mix. It makes you feel extra nice on the days you choose to put in a bit more effort.
Who is Isabelle when not in front of a camera, what do you enjoy doing outside of your creative work?
When I’m not in front of the camera, you’ll most likely find me on horseback or spending time with my family and friends as well as my dogs. Animals are a huge passion of mine and I think this interest has been with me just as much as the creative side has.
Modeling isn’t just about fashion and appearance, it’s also about what you represent. What do you hope your modeling highlights?
What I want to highlight is, dare to take chances and do what you love to do. It’s so easy to put aside what you love because others have opinions about what you’re doing. But dare to take the step. You won’t regret it.
