KATERINA ROSARIA TALKS MODELING
"Actually first got into it because of a friend"

Interviewed by Culture Coast Talks editor Daniel John. Interview transcripts might have been edited for length and clarity.
You have now worked professionally as a fashion model for what is starting to be a long time, it must be like a decade?
Yes I've been modeling for about ten years now! I actually first got into it because a friend of mine wanted to do a photoshoot underwater. It was really fun and so rewarding to get cool photos back, so I wanted to do it more and more after that. My favorite part about modeling has always been getting great photos to keep.
What would be some of your favorite places that you’ve found yourself in your career?
My favorite places that I lived on contracts with modeling agencies were Singapore, Greece, and South Africa! I really miss living there sometimes. I've also gotten to go on brief trips to the Maldives and Seychelles.
Is there a place you’ve always wanted to go but have not yet?
Yes, I really want to go to Iceland and Australia!
Have you ever been around Scandinavia?
No actually I haven't been there yet, but I would love to.
Do you prefer structured shoots or more collaborative ones?
I actually prefer a mix of both. My favorite shoots are ones with a big team.
You've also become known for your cosplaying. Is it just another fashion outlet or is there a nerdy side to this fashion diva?
Oh I'm definitely a nerdy girl! I've been into cosplay actually long before I ever did modeling.
Do you ever sew outside of cosplay–outfits?
I do use my sewing machine fairly often actually. Like if something I have breaks or needs to be fitted tighter.
Are there any of your cosplay you would wear anytime because they look great?
I've thought about it! I love how I feel in my Tifa cosplay and I would totally wear it anytime.
